Neverending - book 10 - The Christmas Story - Chapter 24

Tim put on the headphones, put the CD in the player with shaking hands and pressed start. In his mind he was already imagining what mischief Mr. Scrooge was planning. He heard a crack, then a clearing of the throat and then an old, scratchy voice saying: 'I hate Christmas, I hate Santa Claus and all those smiling faces and presents. All this put on cheerfulness is a horror to me. I wish Christmas would never exist!' shouted the gruesome, scratchy voice, suddenly Tim heard a loud bang in the recording, a crack and a spiteful laugh, then the recording stopped.

Now Tim knows who had sabotaged the sled. Do you know too? Shocked, Tim put the headphones and player back on the table as the lid of the player came off and a note fell out. Tim picked it up: '

It has a back,

sometimes it lies on it.

You don't need a hammer,

and yet you hit it.

What are you looking for?

Hint: Now you've almost reached the end. Tim must now solve the last big puzzle and search for the lost gift. If you know what is wanted in the puzzle, find it and click on it. Then you will find something where you need the numbers you hopefully wrote down. Good luck with it. :) If you don't find the solution at all, write Tim. He will (maybe) give you another hint if you ask nicely :)
